I’m back with part 5 of random thoughts I had about my favorite show, Friends! I actually took a small break from watching Friends so that’s why it’s been a while since I wrote one of these posts. It’s also why this post isn’t very long, but I hope you enjoy!! (POSSIBLE SHOW SPOILERS!!!)
- So, after the pros and cons list was printed and Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Ross (David Schwimmer), and Chandler (Matthew Perry) all had the list before Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) grabbed it. My question is why didn’t any of them just rip up the list? They all had the opportunity, especially Chandler. He had it long enough to read to Rachel his “short story.” He could’ve ended the whole dilemma with a simple tearing of the list.

- When Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) and Joey were talking about selfless good deeds, Joey mentioned that a selfless good deed is when you do something for someone and you get no personal joy out of it. Someone stated that when Ross walked his ex-wife, Carol (Jane Sibbett) down the aisle, it was a selfless good deed on his part. Another selfless good deed was when Phoebe told her boyfriend David (Hank Azaria) go to Minsk and ended things with him. It was a good career opportunity for David (at the time) and it made Phoebe absolutely miserable. So she proved Joey wrong about selfless good deeds long before they even had that conversation.

- I love that Rachel’s mom was sincere when she talked about Rachel’s job. I’ll admit, when she came down to visit Rachel and started raving about her job, I thought she was being a sarcastic jerk. When it turned out that she was genuinely proud of her, it made me feel really happy. Rachel completely changed her life and her mom was the only one who saw that it was a good thing. It was one of my favorite moments in the whole show!

- So, in the episode when Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler went on their honeymoon, they argued with another newlywed couple about the vacation perks. In the next episode, they got home and raved to Phoebe and Joey about a couple that they met, Greg and Jenny. For the longest time, I thought Greg and Jenny were the couple that they met in the previous episode. I remember thinking to myself that I didn’t blame them for giving Monica and Chandler a fake phone number considering how much they snapped at them at the hotel.

- After Phoebe and Rachel’s apartment was burned, I’m surprised that Phoebe even wanted to live with Monica again. Their friendship was almost destroyed when they first lived together and I don’t see how Phoebe just forgot how insufferable Monica was as a roommate. She had the chance to let Rachel live with Monica again and she should’ve just stayed with Joey.
