Ranking The Segments In The Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror: Episode IV

I’m back with my ranking of the segments in The Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror! Today, I’ll be ranking the episodes in Episode IV. For this episode, we have bloodsucking vampires, devilishly soul-selling deals, and little bus attacking gremlins. I hope you enjoy and let me know your favorite Episode IV segment!

3. Terror At 5 1/2 Feet

After getting a premonition about his death on the school bus, Bart realizes there’s a little monster on the side of the bus trying to make it crash. Because no one else believes him, it’s up to Bart to save himself and his classmates. This one is dead last for me because I’m just not a big fan of the story. I watched the Twilight Zone episode, the segment in Twilight Zone: The Movie, and this segment, and it’s just not a favorite of mine. It did have some good moments but the idea where nobody believes the character when the audience knows he’s right is too frustrating.

Favorite Moment: When Otto stopped driving the bus to look out the window with the other kids.

2. Bart Simpson’s Dracula

The Simpson family is invited to Mr. Burns house for dinner. There, they discover that he is a ruthless vampire, and he turned Bart into one as well. Honestly, I was expecting this one to be last because the Dracula story has been done to death. However, this parody was successful in keeping the story fresh and the jokes entertaining. Although it wasn’t my absolute favorite, it still kept me entertained throughout. It kind of lost me with the twist ending.

Favorite Moment: When Bart decided to go down the deadly slide instead of escaping.

1. The Devil & Homer Simpson

After running out of donuts at work, Homer desperately sells his soul to the Devil (Flanders) for one. When it’s time to collect his soul, a trial is held to see if his contract is valid. This segment is my top choice because it’s so hilarious. From start to finish, it didn’t have a dull moment. I love that Flanders played the Devil and the fact that Homer would sell his soul for a single donut was just a perfect concept. It’s definitely a story I can watch over and over again.

Favorite Moment: When Homer’s Hell turned out to be his Heaven as he was able to eat as many donuts as he wanted.
