10 Horror Movie Sequels I Wish Were Made

For Day 2 of Spooky Season, I wanted to share 10 horror sequels that I wish were made! These horror films left me wanting more and I hate that the sequels are most likely never going to happen. Although the title says “sequels” I’m also including prequels. I hope you enjoy and let me know which horror movie sequels you wish were made! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

The Cabin In The Woods: The Beginning

The Cabin In The Woods brought such an intriguing story and it left me wanting more. Now, it’s no surprise that a sequel is out of the question, but I think a prequel would be amazing. I want to know more about The Ancient Ones, how humanity was able to tame them, and most of all, I want to know how they got all of those monsters in the basement. I would’ve loved to see the creation of the facility and maybe even the first ritual sacrifice, where it all began.

Pet Sematary III

I will say that Pet Sematary II was a decent sequel. However, I was disappointed that it didn’t continue Ellie Creed’s story. In the first movie, she lost her whole family, and she was plagued with visions of the dead. I think her returning to the pet sematary as an adult would be very interesting to see. Would she question everything she experienced as a child? Would she have a family of her own who insisted she faced her demons? It could go many different ways.

The Munsters 2

Now, I will admit, I never saw The Munsters tv show. I put off watching the prequel film because I was told it was cringy and ridiculous. I ended up giving it a chance and I ended up really enjoying it! I don’t know what the Munster family would do in a second installment, but I think it has good franchise potential. I’d love to see this group on another adventure.

Trick ‘R Treat 2

Trick ‘R Treat is my all-time favorite film set on Halloween. There are many story possibilities for this anthology film. It could be centered around new characters all together, or even bring back a few familiar faces. Either way, if they ever decided to make another Trick ‘R Treat film, I’d see it on the big screen!

The Ring 4

Rings left an ending that immediately made me want another installment. After Samara’s rebirth, what is she going to do? What have Rachel and Aiden been up to and what will happen if Samara finds them again? How far will Samara’s curse stretch now that it’s all over the internet. I just wanna know!

Zombieland 3

Zombieland and Zombieland: Double Tap were fantastic Zom-Coms. I want to see Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita, and Little Rock return. I want to hear some more zombie survival rules, and I want to see more zombie hunting survivors. I don’t know what the next adventure would be, but I’d be excited either way! Hell, I’d settle for a short film with Bill Murray pretending to be a zombie and just strolling around Hollywood.

The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen 2

I grew up watching The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen and it was always a favorite of mine. After watching the ending, I was SO ready for the sequel, and it wasn’t until I joined social media that I realized that the sequel never happened because of problems on the first film and that the first film was widely disliked. To this day, I wish that a sequel was made and everyone came back for it.

Day Shift 2

Day Shift was a great vampire-hunting comedy. I love the concept and I want to see more of it. I want to see how Seth tries to keep his secret AND his job after becoming a vampire. Mostly, I just want to see Bud, Seth, and the Nazarian Brothers kick more vampire a**. As I’ve said before, this one has great franchise potential.

The Autopsy Of Jane Doe 2

The Autopsy Of Jane Doe is one of the creepiest and most suspenseful horror films I’ve ever seen. It ended with Jane no longer being cursed and paralyzed. With all the chaos she can cause when she was paralyzed, I can’t even imagine the damage she would cause now that she’s free. I would call it The Wrath Of Jane Doe.

Creepshow 4

I know that there is now a Creepshow tv show, but I think it would be amazing if there was a 4th movie. Unfortunately, George Romero passed away, but I think it would be cool if Stephen King worked with a few different directors for this anthology film. He would write the stories and directors like Mike Flanagan, John Carpenter, and Frank Darabont could each direct one. I think it could work really well.
