American Dad!: My Favorite Roger Personas – Part 2

I’m back on my American Dad kick! I decided that today was the perfect day to share part 2 of my favorite Roger personas. These personas left an impact on me because they are iconic, hilarious, and totally insane. I hope you enjoy and let me know who your favorite personas are! (POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!)

Kevin Bacon – Four Little Words

After being mocked by a little boy for not having a nose, Roger starts to feel self-conscious about his appearance. To make him feel better, Steve and Haley buy him a kit of fake celebrity noses. After going through all of them, he found the perfect nose for his face, the Kevin Bacon. While appearing in public with his new nose, everyone believed Roger was the real Kevin Bacon, and he took full advantage of the situation. He treated everyone around him poorly and got all the free stuff he wanted. He even caused a hit-and-run and framed the real Bacon before retiring the nose for a while. The fact that he donned the persona in a later episode to fool Bacon’s wife, Kyra Sedgwick was especially diabolical!

Dudley Dingleberry – The Talented Mr. Dingleberry

This is definitely one of Roger’s creepiest personas. After Steve was screwed out of singing in his school’s talent show, Roger offers to dust off an old ventriloquist dummy persona, Dudley Dingleberry to give him a new act to perform. Everything seems to start off fantastic for the duo as everyone loves their performance. Unfortunately, the makeup that Roger uses for this particular persona drives him absolutely mad. In order to secure a win, Dudley severely injures a majority of the competition and almost kills Steve’s best friend, Snot. Luckily, once the makeup was off, Roger was back to his old self. Dudley was a hell of a performer! Just make sure you’re not his competition.

Ira Seagull – May The Best Stan Win

After finding Toshi’s dad’s sex doll, Steve and his friends decide to do a shot-for-shot remake of the movie Mannequin with it. After Roger finds out they’re making a movie, he dons his director persona, Ira Seagull and insists that they remake the movie The Goonies instead. Let’s be real, Ira is a terrible director. He does take after take over the smallest things, he throws beer bottles at his stars, and worst of all, he keeps forgetting that the treasure map is fake and he keeps stealing it to go on his own treasure hunting adventure. He should’ve just let the boys remake Mannequin.

Julia – Julia Rogerts

After going out of his way to help Stan and finding out that Stan wouldn’t return the favor, Roger runs off to a quaint little town as Julia, a girl looking to make a fresh start. All Julia wants is to forget her heartbreak and move on with the local farm boy, Jesse. While Julia believes she’s in a fairy-tale romance, Jesse actually has different, more sinister plans for her. Julia was great at trying to recreate those iconic rom-com moments but screwing it up every time. She is definitely one of Roger’s most heartbroken yet confident personas!

Genevieve Vavance – News Glance With Genevieve Vavance

Desperate to tell the world about Garbage Island, Haley takes a job working for Roger’s latest persona, Genevieve Vavance, a cutthroat news anchor who will do anything to get the story AND get the ratings. Genevieve is so obsessed with ratings, she has no problem twisting any story she can find. When Steve embarrasses himself in school and he and Haley stage his kidnapping to benefit the both of them, Genevieve takes full advantage and tries to frame Stan and Francine for his “murder.” Then, when Haley tries to get Steve to tell the truth, Genevieve turns the blame onto her. She’s very dedicated to her job, but I’d definitely stay off of her radar!
