Worst Significant Others In Horror Films – Part 3

I’m back with part 3 of the worst significant others in horror films! When it comes to love and romance, these characters in the horror genre are far from deserving of their relationships. As always, this series can include boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives, etc. any and all are considered. I hope you enjoy and let me know who you feel should be in this series! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

Debbie Jellinsky – Addams Family Values

Debbie (Joan Cusack) was the ultimate Black Widow. After killing three of her husbands and taking all the money they had, she set her sights on wealthy weirdo, Fester Addams (Christopher Lloyd). She played the ditzy blond role so well, she immediately had Fester wrapped around her finger. It didn’t take long for them to get married and on their honeymoon, she tried to kill Fester. When she realized killing him would be difficult, she decided to manipulate him into never seeing his family again so she could plan his death with no outside interference. Once he realized what she really wanted, he escaped and fled back to his family, where she eventually found him and held them all hostage. Debbie was very spoiled and self-centered. She tried to justify killing people by playing the victim, but deep down, she was nothing but a greedy b***h.

Kyle Autry – Black Christmas (2006)

Kyle (Oliver Hudson) was a real a**hole. First off, he recorded all of his lovemaking sessions without the women’s knowledge or consent. Then, when his co-worker stole all of his tapes and posted them online, all he cared about was making sure his girlfriend, Kelli (Katie Cassidy) never found out. Of course, she did find out because one of the women he taped was her sorority sister, Megan (Jessica Harmon). What really gets me is how he reacted when Kelli found out. He was mad that she was angry at him and shamed him for being a sneaky pervert. He then talked about how he basically could’ve been a worse boyfriend and he didn’t really hurt anybody. The fact that he didn’t understand how much he violated all of those women is appalling!

Ronnie White – Halloween (2007)

Ronnie White (William Forsythe), or as I call him, Ronnie White-Trash, was the very definition of Scumbag. While he was injured and his girlfriend, Deborah (Sheri Moon Zombie) had to work to make a decent living for the both of them and Deborah’s kids, Ronnie had no problem insulting her, threatening to cheat on her, and threatening to assault her. Then he leered at her teenage daughter and threatened to beat up her son. All of this was in one morning, too! He was the worst of the worst, and she should’ve kicked his useless and abusive a** out. However, I gotta admit that his actual fate in this film was much more satisfying.

Stacy – Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife

Stacy (Dagmara Dominczyk) was truly the wife from Hell. After impregnating her, naive Ward (Donald Faison) felt compelled to marry her, and his life has been miserable ever since. She constantly verbally abused him, prevented him from spending time with his friends, and always made him feel like he wasn’t a good enough husband and father. I’d also talk about what a horrible mother she was, but that’s for another article. She also stated how he physically repulsed her, and she admitted she might’ve cheated on him in the past. She was just a horrible woman who spread her misery wherever she went.

David – Bodies Bodies Bodies

David (Pete Davidson) had some serious anger issues. While partying with his friends during a massive hurricane, David had the perfect ability to ruin everyone’s good time. For starters, he was insanely jealous and confrontational. He savagely punched one of his guests, Greg (Lee Pace), and he treated his girlfriend, Emma (Chase Sui Wonders) so poorly. During a murder mystery game, he was the first to accuse Emma of being the killer, and things just escalated from there. She tried to express how he made her feel, and instead of listening and understanding, he completely invalidated her feelings and made her feel worse. I’ve known people like David, and he’s definitely one of those people you wonder how anyone could be friends with, let alone be in a relationship with.
