My Favorite Love Stories In Movies – Part 2

I’m back with part 2 of my favorite love stories in movies! In these films, these couples don’t start off together, but they get their happily ever afters by the end. These are some of my favorite tales of instant and true love. I hope you enjoy and let me know your favorite love stories in movies! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

Charlie & Harriet – So I Married An Axe Murderer

Charlie MacKenzie (Mike Myers) was a poet with a lot of material that stemmed from relationships that he ended for random reasons. The REAL reason he ended them was that commitment terrified him. However, that didn’t stop him from pursuing the beautiful Harriet Michaels (Nancy Travis). Their connection was instantaneous. They made each other laugh and they had so much fun with each other no matter what they were doing. Of course, Charlie almost ruined it forever when he started to believe Harriet was a black widow who killed her previous husbands. However, it was Harriet’s sister who killed them, and almost Charlie. Charlie’s commitment issues and Harriet’s sister almost destroyed a couple that was so perfect for each other. Luckily, their bond was strong enough to stand against it all.

Wendell & Toby – Clueless

Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) was a spoiled and popular teenager who was used to everything in the world being handed to her. When she got terrible grades, she used persuasion and manipulation to raise them rather than actually doing the work. One of the teachers who didn’t fall for this at first was her debate teacher, Wendell Hall (Wallace Shawn). She figured that if Mr. Hall had a relationship, he wouldn’t be so strict. So, through manipulation, Cher played Cupid with Mr. Hall and her other teacher, Toby Geist (Twink Caplan). Now, I don’t approve Cher’s hand in this whole thing, but I do love that they actually found love and happiness with each other. They had an immediate romance and seeing their wedding in the end made me really happy for them!

Cindy & George – Scary Movie 3

Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris) was a news reporter and George Logan (Simon Rex) was a farm boy and wannabe rapper. They first met when Cindy’s best friend was the teacher of George’s niece. Their bond grew when Cindy started investigating the strange crop circles that appeared at George’s brother’s farm. I have to say that when it comes to all of Cindy’s partners, George is definitely my favorite. Bobby was pushy, Buddy was a d**k, and Tom… he was ok, he just wasn’t George. They had the best chemistry, the best moments, and they gave each other exactly what they needed. I know it’s silly, but I hate that George was killed off in the 4th film.

Zack & Miri – Zack And Miri Make A Porno

Zack Brown (Seth Rogen) and Miri Linky (Elizabeth Banks) were high school besties and roommates for a long time. They struggled with bills and rent for a good while and after meeting a porn star at their high school reunion, Zack came up with the idea to create and sell a porno themselves. They brought a group of loving and charismatic people to bring their dream to life and although it had its hurdles, they prevailed. When it was time to film their intimate scene together, they felt a connection they never felt before. Their whole dynamic changed for the better, and it frustrates me that miscommunication and games had to happen for the sake of drama because they were clearly soulmates. Luckily, their friends intervened and made them realize they were meant to be together. They got married and they helped people rekindle their relationships with their porno production company.

Tina & Lucid – Freaky Tales

Tina (Ji-young Yoo) and Lucid (Jack Champion) were best friends and punk rockers who always hung out at their favorite club. When a bunch of nazis started invading their club, their peace and sanctuary were at stake. Along with the rest of the club regulars, Tina and Lucid decided fighting for their territory was the only option. I absolutely love the chemistry between these two! I initially figured that Lucid was the only one into Tina and Tina just saw him as a friend. I can’t tell you how happy I was when they finally got together after kicking nazi a**! They were connected through their love of music and tearing bigots apart. Lucid even gifted her a spiked bracelet before the big fight. They’re so cute together and I hope their relationship thrived after that epic showdown!
