My Favorite Horror Stars Who Appeared On ‘Seinfeld’ – Part 1

I guess you can tell I’ve been on another Seinfeld binge-session. Whenever I watch a random movie or TV show, I like to take the actors and think about what horror movies I’ve seen them in. As I was re-watching this show, I started doing the same thing with the guest stars. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite horror stars who’ve appeared on Seinfeld! I hope you enjoy and let me know your favorite!

Tobin Bell (Saw) as Ron – The Old Man

On their latest plan to make some quick cash, Kramer and Newman try to collect as many valuable records they can get their hands on. When they bring the record to their guy, Ron, they believe Ron is screwing them out of a big payout. It’s honestly so weird to see Tobin Bell as anyone other than John Kramer, but he was so great in this episode! The way Kramer mumbled insults at Ron and Newman repeated everything like they were his words just killed me. I like to joke that Kramer and Newman are the only ones to ever p**s off Jigsaw and live to talk about it.

Jamie Gertz (The Lost Boys) as Jane/Erica – The Stall

In one of Seinfeld’s most popular episodes, Elaine finds out the bathroom stall she was in had no toilet paper, so she asks the stranger in the stall next to her, who refused and ran off. That stranger turns out to be Jerry’s new girlfriend, Jane, and in order to keep the peace, Jerry does everything he can to keep them apart. Meanwhile, Kramer suspects that Jane is actually Erica, a woman he’s been having sexual discussions with over the phone. I don’t remember if The Lost Boys was the first thing that I saw Jami Gertz in, but she will always be Star to me. She was absolutely stunning and hilarious in this episode. When she confirmed at the end of the episode that she was indeed Erica, it was one of my favorite moments in the whole show!

Richard Burgi (Hostel: Part II) as Ben – The Hamptons

When Elaine and the gang travel to the Hamptons to see their friends’ new baby, they find the poor baby absolutely hideous. While the baby’s doctor, Ben was also visiting, he described both the baby and Elaine “breathtaking” and Elaine tries to figure out if he was calling the baby cute or if he was calling her ugly. Richard Burgi was one of the best things about Hostel: Part II, and it was a nice surprise seeing him here. His deadpan deliveries in this episode were comedy gold. Elaine couldn’t get a good read on him the entire episode, and I love that we never get a straight answer from him.

Courteney Cox (Scream) as Meryl – The Wife

After returning a lost locket to his dry cleaner, Jerry and his family are gifted discounts from the dry cleaner. Wanting to use the discount herself, Jerry’s girlfriend, Meryl pretends to be his wife. Now, I know that Courteney Cox is mostly known for her show, Friends. However, there’s no way I’m excluding Gale Weathers from this article! She was so fantastic here. I loved that they almost immediately started acting like an actual married couple, even when they weren’t at the dry cleaners. They had great chemistry and I think she could’ve been a regular in the Seinfeld universe!

David Naughton (An American Werewolf In London) as Dick – The Red Dot

While Elaine has a secret fling with her co-worker, Dick, Dick ends up falling off the wagon after Jerry accidentally places Elaine’s alcoholic drink next to his. I just LOVE David Naughton! He’s always been one of those actors who makes me perk up when I see them on screen. He always had a comedic side and it was really cool getting to see him in one of my favorite shows. My favorite moment of his was when he interrupted Jerry’s stand-up, which was the first time that ever happened. His performance was so great, from this introduction, to his downfall, to his recovery.
