I’m back with part 6 of the dumbest decisions horror characters ever made! Horror characters are the experts at making horrible decisions. Today, I’m showcasing the decisions that made a character’s bad situation so much worse. I hope you enjoy and let me know which decisions deserve to be in this series!! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)
When Frieda Told Cleopatra About Hans’ Fortune – Freaks

Frieda (Daisy Earles) was completely content when it came to her profession in the circus and her engagement to the love of her life, Hans (Harry Earles). However, things shifted when a beautiful and tall acrobat named Cleopatra (Olga Baclanova) grabbed Hans’ attention. Cleopatra humored Hans, letting him shower her with expensive food and gifts. She loved what Hans could provide for her, but she just saw him as a joke. Frieda tried to reason with Hans, but when that didn’t work, she confronted Cleopatra. During the confrontation, Cleopatra joked about marrying Hans, and that’s when Frieda let it slip about how much money Hans actually had. Hearing this, Cleopatra and her accomplice, Hercules (Henry Victor) came up with the plan that she would marry Hans, poison him, and get all his money. Now, I know it’s not exactly Frieda’s fault as she believed Cleopatra already knew about the fortune. However, Cleopatra was just ravishing in the spoils of Hans’ love and that confession officially woke up her greediness and put Hans’ life in actual danger.
When Lindsay Tried Dragging Jenny With Her – The Human Centipede

Lindsay (Winter Williams) and Jenny (Ashlynn Yennie) were best friends traveling through Europe. While in Germany, they were on their way to a hip night club when they got a flat tire in the middle of nowhere. Stranded, they walked all over and ended up at the home of a sinister doctor, Heiter (Dieter Laser). Heiter kidnapped the women and a random man with the intent to perform a horrific surgery on them. While Heiter prepared Jenny and the man for surgery, Lindsay was able to escape her retraints and bolt out of the door. When Lindsay was painted into a corner, she was saved by a power outage that made Heiter leave the room. Instead of going out the nearest exit and escape, she went back to her drugged friend and tried dragging her out of the house with her. Now, she was definitely a good friend for not wanting to leave Jenny with that maniac, but she had a MUCH better chance of getting help for all three of them if she ran by herself. Instead, she slowed herself WAY down and gave Heiter plenty of time to tranquilize her, and bring them back.
When Chloe And Jeff Gave Carter The Wrong Address – Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse

Carter (Logan Miller), Ben (Tye Sheridan), and Augie (Joey Morgan) were three scouts who have been always been outcasts. Carter and Ben have been wanting to leave scouts for a while because they felt they’ve grown out of it. While talking to Carter’s sister and her friends, Chloe (Niki Koss) and Jeff (Patrick Schwarzenegger), Carter got wind of a killer senior party and Chloe gave him the address. Their plan to sneak away from the camp-out and go to the party took a huge turn after discovering the town was overrun by flesh-eating zombies. A majority of the town was evacuated and when the group was rescued by an army man, they learned the big party was never evacuated. Carter took them to the address he was given and that’s when they realized they were given the wrong address on purpose. They ended up finding the real location and saving the day, but not before Jeff and Chloe were brutally killed. They sealed their fates all because they felt scouts weren’t cool enough to attend their party.
When Ashley Didn’t Move Ricky Out Of The Way – Better Watch Out

Ashley (Olivia DeJonge) believed she was having a quiet evening babysitting young Luke (Levi Miller) before moving away. What she didn’t realize was that Luke had a plan to win her over. After his plan failed miserably, he and his friend, Garrett (Ed Oxenbould) decided to hold her hostage and play sick games with her. When her boyfriend, Ricky (Aleks Mikic) came over to make amends after a fight, they knocked him out and tied him to a chair. Earlier in the evening, Garrett and Luke had an argument about whether or not the paint can scene in Home Alone was realistic, and Luke decided to test the theory on Ricky. They pulled him to below the second story and Luke prepared to throw the paint can down. While they were distracted, Ashley freed herself enough to grab Luke’s gun. She pointed the gun at him and told him to put the paint down. Of course, he did and it hit Ricky right in the face, killing him. She literally had time to pull Ricky away from the danger, but she instead used a gun she wasn’t even sure was loaded. The whole thing could’ve been prevented.
When No One Shot The Bear While She Was Passed Out – Cocaine Bear

During a drug drop gone horribly wrong, multiple bags of cocaine were dropped throughout a forest, where a black bear consumed them and became stark-raving mad. As a duo, Eddie (Alden Ehrenreich) and Daveed (O’Shea Jackson Jr.), were sent to retrieve the missing bags, they got a clue to where one of them was. They found the bag, but they also found a detective, Bob (Isiah Whitlock Jr.) who beat them to it. After a shootout, Bob and Daveed ended up at a standoff with Eddie on the ground, not sure what to do. That’s when the bear made her way to them and stopped everything. Crashing hard after her cocaine binge, the bear ended up passing out right on top of Eddie. Not sure what to do, they decided to pause their standoff so Daveed could see if the bear was dead. Instead of checking to see if the bear was dead, they could’ve made sure the bear was dead by shooting her! Now, I don’t know the bear laws in that area, but they could’ve ended that bear’s reign of terror and bloodshed right then and there!
