I’m sorry that this isn’t another Women In Horror Month post! I’m admittedly not feeling particularly creative at the moment. I’ve been re-bingeing one of my favorite shows, American Dad and today, I just feel like sharing more of my favorite moments from it. These scenes are some of the reasons I love this show so much. I hope you enjoy and let me know your favorite American Dad moments!
Closure For Kloops – American Data?

After hearing the CIA groundskeeper and dear friend, Billy Kloops, passed away, Stan completely shut down. He kept Kloops’ leaf blower with him at all times and refused to communicate with anyone. Francine brought him to Dr. Ray and Dr. Ray finally got through to him with his own leaf blower. After a few sessions, Dr. Ray suggested that Stan could give Kloops and himself closure by using the leaf blower to clear off a section of the CIA headquarters that Kloop didn’t have the clearance to enter. Stan was able to do it, and Kloops’ spirit appeared, thanking him. That moment honestly touched my heart. I love the moments where Stan really cares and this was a beautiful one… until Dr. Ray got killed seconds later, of course.
Roger’s Quickest Relationship – Exquisite Corpses

Desperate to prove they could start their own business and be successful, Jeff, Francine, and Roger purchased a bus to start a tour business. With a crazed serial killer on the loose, they decided to tour all the different crime scenes. When they got to the most recent victim’s house, they realized the killer had joined everyone on the bus to take them hostage. Roger tried to keep him busy and he ended up falling in love immediately. He had this whole relationship in his head as the killer led the bus into his underground lair. When he said he was going to decapitate Roger, Roger broke up with him on the spot. After the other tourists killed the killer, Roger ended it by saying they should get out of there cause it reminds him of his ex-boyfriend’s place. Everything that Roger said in that whole scene was just so hilarious!
Danuta… Will You Go There? – Shark?!

After learning that Hayley’s friend, Danuta was interested in going out with him, Klaus was ecstatic. Because he was completely nervous, Hayley encouraged him to call her and ask her out. As soon as Danuta answered, Klaus… blacked out. He didn’t say who he was or what he wanted. He just repeated her name in a monotone voice and asked her out to dinner by saying “Will you go there?” and “Do you eat?” It got so bad that Hayley had to grab the phone from him and smash it. I can’t tell you how much I LOST it when I first saw this scene! It was the most random and funniest phone call I’ve ever heard. I don’t blame Danuta for being completely freaked out.
The Big Rescue/Reunion – The Two Hundred

Because Stan wasn’t with his family when the world ended, he traveled all over to find them, hoping they were still alive. When he returned home, he heard of a sanctuary that they went to. After dealing with cannibals and wild dogs, Stan, Roger, and Greg made it to the sanctuary… only to find it completely destroyed and everyone in it killed. Stan believed he was too late and his family was gone. When they were captured by cannibals, Stan gave up, ready to join his family. That’s when Hayley, Steve and Francine rescued them all. I’ll admit this scene was a little emotional to me. When Stan almost died and he said goodbye to his kids before Francine saved him really gets to me.
Rabbitage – First, Do No Farm

Wanting Hayley to be more tough and independent, Stan turned the house into a small carrot farm. After setting strict rules that could get a member of the family shunned, Stan shot himself in the foot when Hayley found his secret electronics room and shunned him from the farm. From a distance, he saw that she got TOO farm tough – very cold and abusive towards her family. Stan and Roger (dressed as a rabbit) decided it was time to do a little rabbit sabotage or “rabbitage” to get her back to normal. This is one of my favorite montages. I LOVE that they brought Weird Al to do a Rabbitage parody song just for this episode! I get this song (and Roger’s dancing) stuck in my head all the time.
