My Favorite TV Series Finales – Part 1

Recently, I was having a conversation with my family about some of the best series finales in our favorite TV shows. Looking back on all of my favorite TV shows, I decided to share some of my favorite series finales today! These are some of the conclusions in my favorite shows that left an impact on me the most. I hope you enjoy and let me know some of your favorite series finales! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

I See Love – Mike & Molly

As Mike (Billy Gardell) and Molly (Melissa McCarthy) wait for their baby to be born, the whole family gathers in the hospital and anxiously waits. This is one of the most successful conclusions I’ve seen in a TV show. We have all of the character exactly where they wanted/needed to be. They each are able to say their peace and no stone was left un-turned. Mike and Molly got the family they always wanted and they got an extra surprise in the form of another baby. What I loved the most was the very end where Mike and Molly sing the show’s theme song to their baby, showing that this story was truly over.

The Finale – Everybody Loves Raymond

While undergoing a routine surgery, Raymond (Ray Romano) has difficulty waking up from the anesthesia, causing the family to panic. This was a very touching episode. The family makes their jokes and when they believe they almost lost Raymond, it made them think about life and their family and loved ones. It had a great mixture of laughs and love. I also love how someone pointed out that the episode was proof that everybody indeed loves Raymond. It changed everything, yet it stayed the same. I think it was the perfect way to end the show.

My Kinda People And The Big To-Do – Mom

While Bonnie (Allison Janney) and Adam (William Fichtner) deal with difficult news regarding Adam’s health, Jill (Jaime Pressly) and Andy (Will Sasso) decide to have a courthouse wedding. Meanwhile, the gang deals with a newly sober woman and her crazy mother. I’m kind of bummed this was the finale. I really wanted to see more of the newcomers and their sobriety journey. I also would’ve loved to see Andy and Jill living the married life and I would’ve loved to see how they did as parents. I’m still very happy with this conclusion, though. It was heartwarming and I could watch it a thousand times!

The Third Pig – Tales From The Crypt

After his two brothers were brutally butchered by a wolf, little Dudley Pig (Cam Clarke) is framed and sent to prison for it. Then, the spirits of his brothers help him escape and plan their revenge on the big bad wolf (Bobcat Goldthwait). This episode was great because it was the only episode in the show that was completely animated. We also have The Crypt Keeper (John Kassir) narrating the tale and the characters speaking in rhyme like a fairy tale. I love the animation and the running joke that the wolf couldn’t find the right words to rhyme. It was certainly different than the usual Tales From The Crypt stories and I think that’s why it was a great one to end on.

The Finale – Seinfeld

After striking a new deal with NBC, the gang head to Paris on the company’s private plane to celebrate. After the plane almost crashes in Massachusetts, the gang find themselves in legal trouble after refusing to help out a robbery victim. Okay, I know this is controversial, but I absolutely LOVED this ending! The way that they brought back so many people to testify against them or to watch the trial was just so fantastic. We were reliving all of the show’s best stories without it being just a bunch of clips the whole time. I am bummed by the VERY end of the episode, but it certainly doesn’t deter me from enjoying the rest of it!
