Horror Movie Sequels I Wish Were Made – Part 3

Welcome to Day 6 of Spooky Season!! Today, I’m sharing part 3 of horror movie sequels that I wish were made. These are some follow-ups of my favorite films that I wish existed because the films that do exist left me wanting more. I know these movies will never be made, but you can’t blame a girl for wishing! I hope you enjoy and let me know which sequels you wish were made! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

My Bloody Valentine 2

It breaks my heart knowing that there was a planned sequel to the 1981 film that got shelved in favor of the remake instead. The sequel was going to have T.J. (Paul Kelman) and Sarah (Lori Hallier) return in a rocky marriage and Sarah was going to be a cop having to deal with new murders in the town of Valentine Bluffs. I’m not sure who the killer was going to be, of course, and I very much would’ve liked to know. Unfortunately, it’s too late and we’ll never get to see it, and I only can imagine what could’ve been.

Urban Legend 4

I can picture this as a sort of legacy sequel. In my vision, Brenda (Rebecca Gayheart), Natalie (Alicia Witt), and Reese (Loretta Devine) would return and it would be Natalie’s son or daughter and their friends being tormented by a killer obsessed with urban legends. I can see it going down the I Still Know What You Did Last Summer route by having Brenda’s son or daughter getting revenge for their mother. It’s not very original, but I’d still find it very entertaining.

House Of 1000 Corpses 4

Surprise surprise, Karli wants another film centered around the Firefly family! Now that the psychotic trio got away with yet another massacre, I want to know where they go from here. Would they stay in Mexico or try another country? Would Foxy (Richard Brake) actually try making it in the porno industry? Would another person try to hunt them down for revenge? Would Dr. Satan make a return to unleash Hell? There are so many roads this family could travel down.

The Village 2

I don’t really have an idea of what the sequel would entail, but I’d still like an update on everything. I’m very curious about how the community would be now. Ivy (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Lucius (Joaquin Phoenix) would no doubt lead the people after Ivy’s father had passed. Would the new generation question what’s outside of the forest? Would Ivy keep the town’s biggest secret, even from her husband? I just need another chapter of this story!

See No Evil 3

See No Evil 2 resurrected the big and beastly Jacob Goodnight (Glenn Jacobs) and left his story open. I want to find out what happens to him next. Obviously, the authorities will realize he was never dead and I would imagine they’d have a giant manhunt to find him. He’d probably be stalking the streets like Michael and Jason, killing everyone he thought were sinners in his path. I could even picture him terrorizing a carnival for some reason.

The Hills Have Eyes 3

So, in the second film, Brenda (Emilie de Ravin) was supposed to join the army in order to face her fears after she and her family were attacked by the cannibal family. They obviously changed the story, BUT it’s not too late for her return! Doug (Aaron Stanford) obviously wouldn’t go back to that desert, he’d focus on raising and protecting his daughter. Brenda and Bobby (Dan Byrd), however, lost their whole family, I want them to get a team together and I want another war!

A Haunted House 3

Although I’m not a huge fan of A Haunted House 2, I still would like a third installment in this franchise. I’m a huge fan of found footage and I think this series is just too great and hilarious to quit now. There have been many new horror films that could be parodied here. I want to know where Kisha (Essence Atkins) and Malcolm (Marlon Wayans) ended up. Would she ever get un-possessed? Would Ray-Ray (Affion Crockett) make another appearance? Would Malcolm have another failed relationship and dead dog? I need more ridiculousness.

Contracted: Phase III

I’m a big fan of the Contracted films, and even though the second one had a decent conclusion, I’d still like to see more of this body horror/zombie horror franchise. I’m not sure if it’d carry the same formula of following one person’s transformation over the course of 3 days, or if it would show us a global pandemic. I don’t know why, I just feel like this NEEDS to be a trilogy.

Oculus 2

It’s time for that damn spooky mirror to continue its tormenting in another film! This was such an original and fascinating film, I would love another installment. I’m very curious to see where the mirror ended up after claiming its latest victims. Hell, it destroyed so many lives, there could be a prequel anthology film telling the stories of its previous victims. I think that would be neat to see.

Tales Of Halloween 2

I’ll admit that it took me a while to fall in love with the first Tales Of Halloween. Now, I’m ready for more! I want more short stories set on Halloween. I want more whacky adventures, more myths and legends, more gore, and more death centered around the spooky holiday. There are many horror directors out there, it’s time for a part 2!
