Hope you all had a wonderful Spooky Season celebration! I’m now back to my regular posting schedule. Today, I’m sharing the next installment of my favorite series, where I rate horror movie characters who share the same first name. For this article, I decided on the name Brian. I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think about these Brians! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)
Brian – Valentine

My Rating: 1/10
This Brian (Woody Jeffreys) was just scummy through and through. We first see him at a speed-dating event where he tried to go home with a girl, Kate (Marley Shelton), and when her friend, Paige (Denise Richards) seemed more interested, he just blew Kate off. When Paige invited Brian to her friend’s Valentine’s party, Brian thought that was the perfect time to show Paige the only thing that’s ever on his mind. He took her to an empty room to “show her something” in a FAR from subtle way. This guy had no redeemable factors, and I’m so glad Paige didn’t tolerate what he did.
Brian Leads – American Psycho II: All American Girl

My Rating: 3/10
Brian Leads (Robin Dunne) was a criminology student who was one of the few up for being his professor’s new teaching assistant. The position almost guaranteed a spot at Quantico after graduation. Brian was your typical spoiled rich kid who had the world handed to him. He didn’t do any of the work to deserve the position because all his dad had to do was either bribe or blackmail. He tried bribing one of his competitors, not realizing she was so obsessed with her goals, she was willing to kill for them. Seriously, what would’ve happened if he actually did go to Quantico? Would he expect to not do any work there either? I’d rate him even lower, but admittedly, he did have some entertaining moments.
Brian Gibbons – Final Destination 2

My Rating: 10/10
Brian Gibbons (Noel Fisher) was a simple farm boy who helped his dad out as much as he could. On a seemingly normal day, a van full of people crashed on their property, and he ran to their aid, not realizing Death was already after them… and now he was targeted. Brian was a really good kid. He helped the survivors as best as he could, and he really didn’t give me any reason to dox any points. It’s a real shame he got blown up in the end.
Brian Sousa – One Missed Call

My Rating: 5/10
Brian Sousa (Johnny Lewis) was a normal guy whose life was just turned upside down. The love of his life was killed and soon after, he got a mysterious voicemail predicting his own death. Brian is one of those guys where I don’t love him but I don’t hate him. I don’t like how he dealt with his mourning by snapping at people and insulting them. However, I don’t believe he deserved to go out the way he did. I guess I’m indifferent on this one.
Brian – Black Friday

My Rating: 3/10
Brian (Stephen Peck) was a loyal worker at a toy store. What should’ve been a simple Black Friday shopping day soon turned into a nightmare as some of the shoppers and his co-workers became parasite infected zombies. Now, Brian was pretty funny, BUT he lost major points for biting one of the other survivors to make them think they were going to become a zombie. He was a very pretentious person who thought he knew what was best for the group of survivors. He also believed he could reason with the giant monster that the zombies grew into and his humbling moment was definitely hilarious.
