Well, it truly is the end of an era. The last Jackass movie is coming out this month. These movies have been just so special to me. We just have a group of guys who come up with the craziest ways to terrorize themselves and each other. They’re the perfect ones to watch when you just want to forget about everything for a while. Jackass Number Two was my introduction to these crazy guys and seeing their antics here left me begging for more. Today, in honor of this end, I’m sharing some of my favorite moments from my favorite installment. I hope you enjoy and let me know your favorite Jackass moment. (SPOILER ALERT!!!)
Terror Taxi

With the help of Jay Chandrasekhar, everyone played the most brutal prank in the entire film on Ehren. They donned him up to look like a stereotypical terrorist and had him call a taxi. He thought they were playing a prank on the taxi driver, but the joke was on him. Jay, as the taxi driver, saw Ehren as a threat and he pulled into a nearby alley and started hitting the crap out of him. Then he pulled a fake gun on him and put him in the trunk. Everyone made him believe he was shooting at people and kidnapping him. To make matters worse, his fake beard was actually made from the pubes of various cast and crew members. This was SO messed up, but it was perfectly executed.
The Anaconda Ball Pit

While in a giant ball pit, Wee Man, Dunn, and Johnny had to retrieve two anacondas. This one was SO frustrating to watch! Johnny kept grabbing the snake everywhere BUT its head, giving it every chance to bite him. It’s so crazy seeing how powerful an anaconda’s bite is, Johnny’s blood just POURED down his arms. They were persistent though! The best part is when they finally grabbed the first anaconda and completely forgot about the second one.
Chris And The Cobra

As Chris and David Weathers were introducing a prank they have planned for Bam, David showed the camera the cobra they they’d be using to help them. As Chris got closer, the cobra turned around and snapped at him, making him yelp and fall down. This is such a small moment but it makes me laugh every time!
The Big Tire Race

Starting out on top of a hill, Dave and Ehren climbed into two giant tires and rolled them down a large hill. Now this is another stunt that would SEEM like a lot of fun, but is actually very dangerous and painful. We feel every hit as the tires bounced on the ground. Bam really added insult to injury when he stuck his butt in Ehren’s face as they were pulling him out of the tire.
The Magic Trick

It’s always great seeing John Waters! Here, he donned a cape, grabbed a wand and made Wee Man disappear by having a very large woman jump on him. I don’t know who came up with this one, but it was so random, I had to include it here. I love the detail of Wee Man clicking his ruby slippers together while being smothered.
Riot Control Test

The point of this stunt was to have a few of the guys stand in front of these weapons that shoot out rubber balls at an alarming rate. They tested them before and the blast almost had Bam and Dunn running for the hills. Johnny had to convince Dunn that it wouldn’t be that bad, that it’s scary because it’s just loud. So, the three of them ended up doing it and… it went about how you think it would. It got so bad, it had Bam on the floor, crying. It was an intense one.
The Flying Devil

Dressed up like the Devil, Chris was shot out a hole in the middle of the sidewalk. He landed right on his head, but he still had to do his bit. He held up a sign telling nearby shocked bystanders to keep God out of California. The fact that he hit his head so hard but still committed to the bit was so funny. When they did the instant replay of him flying, I just lost it!
The Guantlet

With Matt Hoffman and Tony Hawk, the guys rig a bunch of skating ramps with swinging heavy bags. With bikes and skateboards, they try to make it through to the end. This is one of the dirtier games these guys have played. They waited until they were close and they hit them as hard as they could with the bags, the sabotage is so great. Wee Man even swung on one to just drop-kick Johnny off his bike. No one was winning that one!
The Karate Chops

With simple pieces of wood, the guys try out their chopping skills. Bam started out with Dunn holding the wood near his face. Bam hit the wood so hard, he split it in half AND he hit Dunn right in the face. Then it was Chris’s turn! Dunn was now holding two boards and Chris was ready. He had this big buildup and, to everyone’s surprise, he instead kicked Dunn in the balls as hard as he could. It’s this kind of stupidity that made me fall in love with these films.
The Bungee Jump

This one was just so hilarious to me. The basic idea was to have Wee Man bungee jump while connected to Preston. It started out like it should’ve, but Preston lost his balance and he ended up falling in the water with Wee Man. The way Wee Man stayed in the air for a second and Preston actually passed him and yanked him into the water made me laugh so hard the first time I watched it!
The Toro Totter

While dressed like little kids, Bam, Dunn, Chris, and Johnny rode a teeter totter in the middle of a bull arena, playing a fun game of Last One Standing. This was definitely one of the most creative games that they’ve done. It also may be one of the dumbest. They actually worked like a team really well for a while, but it couldn’t last forever. The best part was when the bull got Chris in the leg and when he was trying to check it out, he said, “hold on” and Johnny responded with, “what do you mean ‘hold on?’ the bull’s not going to hold on.” The bull was definitely the last one standing.
Mushroom Launch

After doing a test run of shooting a shopping cart out of a garage opening, Dunn was volunteered to be in the cart for the next run. This was just a trick however, because right before Dunn was launched, Bam closed the garage door, so Dunn was instead slammed into the door. It was admittedly a d**k move, but honestly he probably saved Dunn from an even more horrible injury.
The Bull Run

This was honestly the perfect way to start the film. Just having all of our guys running through a nice neighborhood as a herd of bulls chased them down. We see them get picked off one by one in all these different ways. I loved seeing Dave try to hide in a trash bin just for one of the bulls to completely flip it over. Wee Man getting targeted by the little calf was just too funny. I also loved the fact that everyone else was justifiably terrified, and Chris was just running with the biggest smile on his face.
The Brand

I don’t know who came up with this, but this was just insane! They decided to brand a penis right on Bam’s a**. Dunn tried his best to do it once, but it hurt so bad that Bam kept jumping around, leading to about 5 penises on his butt. A few days later, Bam and Dunn went to Bam’s parents’ house to show them the now highly infected brands. April had the best reactions, she put up with a LOT of their stuff.
Firehose Rodeo

Fire hoses are useful due to the immense water pressure they exude. Dave decided to test the pressure by holding onto a hanging fire hose and letting the pressure of the water try to throw him off. He held on for a good while, but when he fell, he fell HARD. This one just looks like so much fun. This is one of those instances where I’m dumb enough to think I could actually hang onto it.
The Electric Stool

The gang rigged a stool to electrocute Wee Man once he sat on it. They made him believe a professional card thrower was going to be throwing a playing card into his crack. Every time they jolted him, he shot up, convinced that the cards were somehow hurting him that badly. He even accused them of having a card throwing machine, and everyone just LOST it. I loved how they just panned to everyone laughing their a**es off. It was one of the funniest things.
Bad Grandpa

Dressed up like an old man, Johnny and a child actor walked around Los Angeles. The kid pretended to drink and smoke a cigarette while bystanders looked in shock. The beef that Johnny had with one of the bystanders was so funny. I wish I knew how he reacted after being told none of it was real. He was about ready to fight him. One of my favorite things that Johnny said was, “That long hair don’t cover that red neck, boy!” it gets me every time!
The Best Of Times

For the film’s conclusion, the guys did a wonderfully choreographed dance number to the song The Best Of Times. Each member got their own section of the song, their own setting, and their own injuries. I loved how it was all put together with one last shock from each of them. The song was very fitting as well, since those really were the best times, before everything fell apart. It was a perfect way to end the film and I’ll forever miss those days.
