I’m back with another installment of rating horror movie characters who share the same name! Today, I picked the name Theresa, in all its different variations and spellings. As always, I’m rating the characters themselves, NOT the actors who play them or their performances. I hope you enjoy and let me know your favorite horror movie Theresa!! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)
Terry Gionoffrio – Rosemary’s Baby

My Rating: 9/10
Terry (Victoria Vetri) was a young girl living with an older couple, Roman (Sidney Blackmer) and Minnie (Ruth Gordon) Castevet. They acted like they were her saviors, but they had sinister intentions for her. The first and only time we meet Terry, she practically spilled her life story to her new neighbor, Rosemary Woodhouse (Mia Farrow). That’s not a horrible trait at all, I’ve certainly done some oversharing to people I’ve just met before. Besides, she had to tell us everything about herself because that was her only scene before she died. Seriously, though, Terry was very friendly and she had a wonderful energy. You can tell she was the person who would have a lot of friends.
Terry Fisher – The Howling

My Rating: 10/10
Terry Fisher (Belinda Balaski) and her boyfriend, Chris (Dennis Dugan) worked at a news station together. After their co-worker, Karen (Dee Wallace) was attacked by a serial killer, Karen was taken to a community out in the country that turned out to be a community of werewolves. I LOVE Terry! She was such a good friend. When Karen’s husband was attacked by one of the werewolves, she and Chris dropped everything to go out to help them. Plus, SHE was the one who figured out that the serial killer who targeted Karen was part of the community. She was sweet, intelligent, and she didn’t deserve her fate.
Terri Moore – Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter

My Rating: 8/10
Terri Moore (Carey More) and her twin sister, Tina (Camilla More) were bicycling along Camp Crystal Lake when they came across a group of kids who rented a cabin nearby. They joined the group, unaware that they were all about to be targeted by local madman, Jason Voorhees (Ted White). I honestly felt bad for Terri. She just wanted to party and have fun, but she had to have guys pining after her, and when she wanted to finally leave, her sister just told her to go. I don’t know if that warranted a “slut” comment from Terri, but they’re sisters so I get it. There isn’t really much else I know about her so she’s not getting a lower rating from me.
Terry Chaney – Final Destination

My Rating: 8/10
Terry Chaney (Amanda Detmer) was a high school student who was joining her French class on a trip to Paris. After her classmate, Alex (Devon Sawa) had a premonition that the plane was going to explode, a handful of them got off the plane and they started dying one by one soon after. There really isn’t much to know about Terry, other than she was dating the school bully, Carter (Kerr Smith). As Terry tried to move on from the tragedy, Carter wouldn’t let up on being confrontational every time they ran into Alex. She finally had enough and she put it into perspective that Carter wasn’t even trying to move on. I think she could’ve gotten her point across in a better way, but I like that she got to say her piece before she died.
Teresa – Evil Dead Rise

My Rating: 7/10
After Teresa (Mirabai Pease) joined her cousin Jessica (Anna-Maree Thomas), and Jessica’s boyfriend, Caleb (Richard Crouchley) at a cabin by the lake, she soon discovered that Jessica brought something evil with her. On one hand, Teresa seemed very bitter. However, I don’t know if I can judge her too harshly. She was upfront about not wanting to go to the cabin in the first place. However, when Jessica clearly wasn’t feeling well, instead of trying to get her to a hospital, she was just ready to leave her there with her not so caring boyfriend. I guess I’m a little conflicted on this one. I know she definitely didn’t deserve to get the top of her head ripped off.
