Welcome to Day 5!! One show that I love to watch over and over again is Family Guy. One of my favorite episodes is Three Kings, where they parodied three Stephen King movies: Stand By Me, Misery, and The Shawshank Redemption. Being a horror and King fan, a part of me wants Family Guy to do more horror parodies! For Spooky Season, I thought it would be fun to list more Stephen King movies I think the show could perfectly parody! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)
Carrie

(Carrie synopsis provided by IMDb.com): Carrie White, a shy, friendless teenage girl who is sheltered by her domineering, religious mother, unleashes her telekinetic powers after being humiliated by her classmates at her senior prom.
It may be obvious, but this episode would definitely have Meg playing Carrie White. Like Carrie, Meg is ridiculed and bullied by everyone around her, including her family. I can see Peter insisting on playing Carrie’s mom so he could torment Meg even more. HOWEVER, Peter never finished the story and he’s shocked when Meg/Carrie ends up killing him. I think this would be a great way for Meg to finally get her revenge!
IT

(IT synopsis provided by IMDb.com): In the summer of 1989, a group of bullied kids band together to destroy a shape-shifting monster, which disguises itself as a clown and preys on the on the children of Derry, their small Maine town.
I’ve seen Family Guy do a similar parody of Little Rascals where the adults play the main characters. We’d see the Family Guy gang as kids defeating the evil clown who would be played by… Herbert. I don’t know why but Herbert seemed to make the most sense. I’m not sure if Peter should play Bill because Bill is the leader, or if he should play Ben because Ben gets to be with Beverly (who would be played by Lois of course). Then we’d get a part 2 with them as adults having to defeat Herbert the Pervert Clown again.
Cujo

(Cujo synopsis provided by IMDb.com): Cujo, a friendly St. Bernard, contracts rabies and conducts a reign of terror on a small American town.
I have no reason to pick this one other than the fact that I would love to see Lois and Stewie have to fight a rabid Brian.
Gerald’s Game

(Gerald’s Game synopsis provided by IMDb.com): A couple tries to spice up their marriage in a remote lake house. After the husband dies unexpectedly, the wife is left handcuffed to their bed frame and must fight to survive and break free.
This would be a Quagmire story. Instead of the woman he’s with dying while he’s cuffed, she could just rob him and leave him there. This parody would be more on concept, and since Quagmire is a horrible person, being abandoned there would force him to reflect on the decisions he made and the people he hurt. Then in Family Guy fashion, by the time he’s rescued, he doesn’t learn a darn thing.
Thinner

(Thinner synopsis provided by IMDb.com): After a tragic accident, an obese attorney is cursed to rapidly and uncontrollably lose weight.
Peter has had many car accidents and hit-and-runs, one of these incidents are bound to get him cursed by someone seeking justice. It’s too bad Big Fat Paulie died in the show, cause it would be cool to see him as the mafia member set out to help Peter.
Silver Bullet

(Silver Bullet synopsis provided by IMDb.com): In a small town, brutal killings start to plague the close knit community. Marty Coslaw, a paraplegic boy, is convinced the murders are the doings of a werewolf.
I think this could be a cool Joe Swanson story. For this parody, instead of a young boy, we’d get Joe having to use his detective skills to stop a werewolf from terrorizing Quahog residents. We could go the obvious route and make Brian the werewolf like he was in the season 18 episode, Disney’s The Reboot. I think Dr. Hartman would be a good choice. I can see him having to treat the victims he attacked the night before. He’s portrayed as an idiot so no one would suspect him.
