10 Movie Sequels I Wish Were Made

Right now, I’m on a quest for inspiration! I’m going through my entire movie collection for new blog ideas. As I was watching Beauty Shop, I realized how badly I wanted a sequel to it. Then I started thinking about other films that I wanted more installments of. NOTE: none of these were ever confirmed and/or brought up. These are just sequels I personally wish happened. I hope you enjoy and let me know what films you’d like to see a sequel to! (POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!!!)

Lost Boys 4

After I watch Lost Boys: The Tribe, I used to imagine the third film would introduce werewolves to the franchise. Lost Boys: The Thirst did confirm the existence of werewolves in the LB universe and now that vampires were no longer a threat, I want to see Edgar (Corey Feldman) and Alan (Jamison Newlander) Frog fight some werewolves! Plus, with one of his closest friends, Zoe (Casey B. Dolan) being a werewolf herself, I would’ve really liked to see what would’ve happened between them.

The Addams Family 3

I know there was technically a third Addams Family film, but every time I watch The Addams Family and Addams Family Values, I get this sinking realization that we’re never going to get another film in the franchise with this perfect cast. They were such wonderful films and I’ll always wish we could’ve gotten a third.

Fargo 2

Fargo was a quirky, hilarious, and messed up film. I always pictured a modern sequel that had our favorite cop working on a case with her daughter who she was pregnant with in the first film. I haven’t seen the Fargo TV series, but I know Frances McDormand’s Marge Gunderson isn’t in it, and I need her to return!

Beauty Shop 2

I know Beauty Shop is part of the Barbershop franchise, but I want a direct sequel to this one! It was fun, I loved all of the characters, and I would love to see where they all are if the sequel was made today! I want to see Gina’s (Queen Latifah) thriving business, and her hilarious stylists interact with new clientele.

Napoleon Dynamite 2

Like Beauty Shop, I just love these characters and I want to see where they would be now. Would Kip (Aaron Ruell) and LaFawnduh (Shondrella Avery) have little ones? How did Pedro (Efren Ramirez) do as class president? Did Uncle Rico (Jon Gries) perfect time travel… or successfully throw a football over the mountains? I’m just kidding with that last question but I would still love to see this cast of characters again!

The Big Lebowski 2

I have absolutely no idea what the sequel would include, but ever since seeing The Dude (Jeff Bridges) return for that Super Bowl ad, I’ve been wanting the gang to come back. I need to see The Dude and Walter (John Goodman) unintentionally get involved in another scandal. Maybe Walter tries to find a new Donny (Steve Buscemi) to yell at. Also, I want to see if The Dude’s kid will be just like him, or if they’d be a little Maude (Julianne Moore).

The ABCs Of Death 3

This is one of my favorite anthology franchises. It’s really cool to see fresh new filmmaking talent coming up with the craziest and most random stories. The first two films had some of the most creative tales and they had a perfect mix of insanity and hilarity. It’s time for a round 3!

Friday The 13th Part 12

I know that because of this lawsuit, we’re most likely never getting another Friday The 13th film. There is still a lot of potential with Jason’s story. Someone had the idea for a Pamela Voorhees prequel, that would be very cool to see! We could dive more into Jason and Pamela’s lives before the drowning happened. We could also see returning final girls/guys fighting Jason again. I just need to see more of my favorite slasher!

31 2

This was just a concept I thought about when I watched the film the first time. For the sequel, I had the idea that because Charly (Sheri Moon Zombie) survived, she ended up being recruited to participate in the next 31 game. I had the theory that all the crazy Heads were once contenders in this sick game. I think a sequel – or prequel could further explore Father Murder (Malcolm McDowell), Sister Serpent (Jane Carr), and Sister Dragon (Judy Geeson) and the creation of this 31 game. Plus, I need to see more Doom-Head (Richard Brake)!

Grown Ups 3

Grown Ups has one of my favorite casts. Because they were all best buds, the laughs and conversations were so genuine in the first film. The second film was decent, but it was incomplete when Rob Schneider (Robby) didn’t come back. I want the whole gang together again for more hi-jinks!
