Rating Horror Movie Characters With The Same Name: Carter – Part 1

I’m back with another installment of rating horror movie characters who share the same name! Today, I went with the name Carter. I was honestly surprised that there were enough Carters in the horror genre to do an article on. It’s not a very common name… well, I guess it is here. I hope you enjoy and let me know your favorite horror movie Carter! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

Carter Horton – Final Destination

My Rating: 7.5/10

Carter Horton (Kerr Smith) was your typical high school jock and bully. After cheating Death by leaving a plane that was supposed to crash and kill him, he confronted the classmate who saved his life, Alex (Devon Sawa), every chance he got. Carter was the type of person who would honestly be exhausting to be around. He’s always confrontational and temperamental. He risked other people’s lives to prove some sort of point. He did change his tune after surviving another near-death experience and I believe he redeemed himself. He went from resenting Alex to saving his life. He was a d**k sometimes, but he wasn’t a monster.

Carter Daniels – The Final Destination

My Rating: 0/10

Carter Daniels (Justin Welborn) was at a racetrack with his wife when a horrible accident occurred, killing many people. His wife died and he felt the track’s guard, George (Mykelti Williamson) was responsible. This guy was just a racist piece of s**t. He had no problem throwing the N word around and calling George “chocolate.” THEN he tried burning a cross on George’s lawn! This dude’s death was so satisfactory, I love that the song Why Can’t We Be Friends was playing as he was dragged down the street. He was a vile human with no redeemable factors, so he gets the lowest rating from me.

Carter – See No Evil 2

My Rating: 7/10

Carter (Lee Majdoub) and his girlfriend, Tamara (Katharine Isabelle) joined their friends to surprise Tamara’s best friend, Amy at her undertaker job for her birthday. Just before the celebration, the body of psychotic murderer, Jacob Goodnight (Glenn Jacobs) was brought in. Carter was very tolerant of his weird-a** girlfriend. He gets docked points for having sex with her with dead bodies all around them. That was just very odd. He yelled at her for kissing Jacob on the lips and then proceeded to kiss her immediately afterwords. Yeah, I would NOT have kissed my girlfriend after she kissed a dead body. Carter was definitely less weirded out than he should’ve been.

Carter Grant – Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse

My Rating: 8/10

Carter Grant (Logan Miller) felt he outgrew scouting a long time ago. As he and his friend, Ben (Tye Sheridan), ditched their friend, Augie (Joey Morgan) on their latest camp-out to go to a secret party, they learned that the town was overrun by killer zombies. Carter is definitely self-centered and arrogant. He always acted like he was better than everyone and that scouting was beneath him. However, he really stepped up when it came to honing his scouting skills and saving his sister and her friends. Plus, I can’t lie, the dude is pretty funny.

Carter – Rings

My Rating: 3/10

After coming across a strange tape, Carter (Zach Roerig) received a call from a voice telling him that he was going to die in seven days. Now, I don’t really know much about this Carter. When we first see him, he’s on a plane, freaking out that this is his seventh day. He loses a lot of points for getting on an airplane, FULL OF PEOPLE, on the night he’s about to die. He endangered the lives of all of those people because he was so stupid!
