I hope you enjoy and let me know which horror movie dads should be added to the list!! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

Walter Sparrow – The Number 23

Walter Sparrow (Jim Carrey) was obsessed with the number 23 most of his life. Seeing it everywhere, he believed it controlled everything and everyone. After falling in love with a woman and discovering she was cheating on him with her professor, he brutally killed her and framed the professor. Riddled with guilt, Walter wrote out his entire confession in the form of a fictional tale surrounding the number. Then he jumped from his hotel room, thinking the fall would kill him. It didn’t kill him, however, but it left him greatly injured with no memory of what happened. Years later, one of his old doctors found and published the story, and Walter’s wife bought it for him. The obsession with 23 began again as he read the words he didn’t know were his. As he tried to piece everything together, his sanity began to slip again. He even accused his wife of having an affair and writing the book herself. History almost repeated itself, but he ended up making things right again, for his victim, his family, and the man he framed.

Steven Wilkins – Trick ‘R Treat

Steven Wilkins (Dylan Baker) was a seemingly normal father and principal in his town. What nobody understood was that his obsession with Halloween traditions made him punish those who don’t follow the rules. After a kid walked around the neighborhood and smashing everyone’s jack-o-lanterns, he hit Steven’s house and began stealing all the candy he had left out. After Steven caught him, he gave the kid some contaminated candy and killed him. He then buried him with another kid he killed. After his son, Billy (Connor Christopher Levins) almost caught him, Steven got back into the house and took Billy in the basement to “carve a pumpkin.” We believe he’s about to kill his own son, but it turns out they were carving the decapitated head of that kid! Steven was a psychotic father who was passing down his demented traditions to his young son.

Nathan Wallace – Repo! The Genetic Opera

Nathan Wallace (Anthony Head) had the perfect life. He had a beautiful and loving wife, a child on the way, and a wonderful surgical job. When his wife got sick, he tried to help her, but due to outside sabotage, he ended up killing her. Framed for his wife’s death, he was then forced to work for the man who framed him, repossessing loaned body parts and organs. For years, he kept his daughter sick as a way to control her and keep her afraid of the outside world. He was the thing she should’ve feared the most. He acted like he didn’t have a choice, but there were moments where he enjoyed killing innocent people and pulling their organs out. The only problem he had with the job was that he was never thanked for it. He played victim while creating plenty of actual victims.

Galen Burke – Rings

Galen Burke (Vincent D’Onofrio) was a respected priest in a small town. After setting his eyes on a young girl, Evelyn Bordon (Kayli Carter), he held her prisoner, raped her, and impregnated her. When she realized she gave birth to a child with evil abilities, she tried to kill her, but Galen stopped her. Later, Evelyn was locked away and his daughter, Samara (Daveigh Chase) was adopted by another couple. Her adoptive mother was later driven mad by her and she suffocated Samara and threw her in a well, where she lived for 7 days before dying. Samara’s spirit created a cursed tape that killed everyone who watched it. Galen knew of Samara’s abilities and the curse. He blinded himself so he couldn’t be killed by her. When Samara’s body was found, they tried burying her in their town, but after a disastrous flood, Galen stole her remains and put them in the wall of his home. While many lives were destroyed, he got to live most of his life with no consequences, and he was the reason it all happened!

Cooper Abbott – Trap

Cooper Abbott (Josh Hartnett) seemed like Father Of The Year for taking his daughter, Riley (Ariel Donoghue) to the concert of her favorite performer, Lady Raven (Saleka Shyamalan). After they got there, Cooper noticed many law enforcement officers surrounding the place. When he asked an employee what was going on, the employee told him the concert was a giant trap to catch a serial killer known only as The Butcher… and Cooper realized the trap was meant for him. Cooper was intelligent, manipulative, and totally insane. He tried every possible angle to escape the arena, including pushing a girl down the stairs, burning another woman severely, and lying about his daughter to get backstage. Running out of options, he ended up forcing Lady Raven to get them out of there. Cooper was a ticking time bomb who refused to stay down.
