I’m back with another installment of rating horror movie characters who share the same name! I had my wheel pick a random letter, and it landed on G. From there, I decided to pick the name Grace this round. As always, I’m rating the characters themselves, NOT the actors who played them or their performances. I hope you enjoy and let me know your favorite horror movie Grace!! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

Grace Cardiff – Rosemary’s Baby

My Rating: 10/10

Rosemary (Mia Farrow) and Guy (John Cassavetes) Woodhouse were a young married couple who moved into a luxurious apartment building, which happened to be inhabited by old Satan worshiping witches who targeted them. After they placed a hex on Rosemary’s good friend, Hutch (Maurice Evans), Rosemary heard the news of his condition by his friend, Grace (Hanna Landy). I really like Grace. When Hutch passed away months after being hexed into a coma, Grace never forgot Rosemary and she called her and told her. Then she met her at the funeral and made sure to bring her the book Hutch was trying to give her to warn her. Because Hutch couldn’t warn Rosemary about her neighbors, Grace was there to give her the message for him. Thanks to Grace’s aid, Rosemary was given exactly the information needed to try and get away from those people. She was incredibly helpful without even realizing it.

Grace Poole – Child’s Play 2

My Rating: 8.5/10

Grace Poole (Grace Zabriskie) was the head of the foster care facility that young Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) lived in after his last encounter with the psychotic killer doll, Chucky (Brad Dourif). I really have very few qualms with Grace here, she seemed like a very good person who cared for the kids under her watch. She put Andy in a decent home. My biggest issue with her is that she had absolutely no problem telling Chucky where Andy was just because he told her he was Andy’s uncle. Andy suffered a very traumatic experience, and she just gave a complete stranger his location, that doesn’t sit right with me.

Grace Stewart – The Others

My Rating: 0/10

Grace Stewart (Nicole Kidman) was a struggling mother trying to take care of her two children while her husband went off to war. After she sent out for new helpers for the house, she began to experience strange paranormal events in her once peaceful home. This woman gets a zero from me because, HELLO, she killed her children! She smothered them with a pillow! There’s no redemption from that! Then she acted like nothing happened and they went about their days like nothing was wrong. She couldn’t stand her daughter thinking for herself and disagreeing with her. She had to control everything and she acted like relinquishing control over everything would mean the end of the world. Her children were now trapped in that house with her and she took away their chance to grow up and live happy lives.

Grace MacCaullay – Ready Or Not

My Rating: 10/10

All Grace (Samara Weaving) wanted was a loving and close family, and she believed that she finally found it when she married into the Le Domas family. While choosing a game for the family to play on their wedding night, Grace pulled the “Hide And Seek” card, which was actually a game where all of the in-laws tried to hunt her and kill her before dawn. Grace is one of my all-time favorite people! She held her own against every single person who tried to kill her. She was HIGHLY underestimated by everyone and she showed she was a lot tougher than she looked. She didn’t put up with any of their BS and I’m really glad she survived!

Grace Chow – Sinners

My Rating: 7/10

Grace Chow (Li Jun Li) and her husband, Bo (Yao) ran the local Delta Grocery with their daughter, Lisa (Helena Hu). After being hired by the infamous SmokeStack twins to help out with the grand opening of their new club, their night of fun quickly turned into a nightmare when a coven of vicious vampires tried to kill them and make them vampires as well. I know this may be controversial here, but I have to give Grace the benefit of the doubt. After she lost Bo to the vampires, they threatened to go after her little girl. When Grace invited them in, I’ll admit I understood her intentions. She was a mother thinking about her daughter’s safety, even at the cost of her own life. She does get docked points for really not considering the other survivors and her actions cost most of them their lives.
