I’m back with part 8 of horror movie characters I wish didn’t die! Whether I really liked the characters or I simply deserved a lot better fates than they got, these are some of the characters I wish got better endings. Tommy Ross – Carrie

Tommy Ross (William Katt) was a popular high school kid who was with the girl of his dreams, Sue (Amy Irving). After Sue and her friends tormented the school outcast, Carrie White (Sissy Spacek), Sue was the only one who felt incredibly guilty about it. To try and make it up to her, she asked Tommy to take Carrie to the prom instead of her. I really liked Tommy. Even after Carrie said no, he insisted on taking her, and he didn’t have ill intentions like the kids who planned to prank her at prom. When pigs’ blood was dumped on her at the prom stage, he didn’t laugh like the others, he chewed them out and then the bucket fell on his head, killing him. I hate that he died, but if the bucket didn’t kill him, I’m sure Carrie would’ve so he was doomed either way.

The Dream Warriors – A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master

Kristen Parker (Tuesday Knight), Roland Kincaid (Ken Sagoes), and Joey Crusel (Rodney Eastman) were the last of the kids targeted by the vengeful dream demon, Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund). After Freddy was laid to rest, they believed that they could finally have the normal life they deserved. Although Kristen wasn’t so sure he was really dead, Kincaid and Joey were ready to move on. Sure enough, Freddy was resurrected and he cut each of the warriors down one by one. They fought so hard the first time, but Freddy knew it was better to separate them this time because they were much stronger together. I not only hate that these guys were killed off, I hate that they were killed off so quickly, like they weren’t important to the storyline when they were the heroes in the previous film.

Julie – Wes Craven’s New Nightmare

Julie McKenna (Tracy Middendorf) worked for famous Scream Queen, Heather Langenkamp. As Heather and her husband worked, Julie babysat for their son, Dylan (Miko Hughes). When famous horror director and dear friend, Wes Craven began writing a new Elm Street film, a more sinister and deadly version of the fictional Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) started to haunt and kill those involved with the film. Julie was honestly a real one! When Krueger began targeting Dylan, Heather did everything she could to keep him awake until she could come up with a plan. Unlike everyone else, Julie completely trusted Heather and she deeply cared about Dylan. She loved them so much, she had no problem punching a nurse just because they sedated Dylan. She was so loyal, that it killed her.

Venus Virgo – 31

Venus (Meg Foster) was the head of the girl show in their carnival. While driving to their next location, she and her carnival co-workers were suddenly kidnapped and placed into a deadly Halloween game. They had to survive for 12 hours against a gang of psychotic clowns for the amusement of wealthy sadists. Venus was definitely the protector of the group. She was so caring and she tried to help not just her friends, but another victim they came across. She never lost herself, even when she had to fight for her life. Even when she was dying, all she thought about doing was begging for her friends’ lives. She knew it was too late for her, and she still showed how much she loved them. I really wish she made it out alive.

Elizabeth White – Leatherface

Elizabeth (Vanessa Grasse) was a new nurse at the Gorman House Youth Reformery. After one of the patients’ mothers started running around and opening doors, all of patients ignited a riot and started causing chaos and death to the staff. She was rescued by one inmate, Jackson (Sam Strike) and then they were taken hostage by others trying to skip town. This poor girl just wanted to help people and she was pulled into a war between crooked cops and psychotic families. She barely had anyone on her side and every time she tried to escape or get help, it ended badly. She tried to reason with Jackson after his family convinced him to kill her, but once she started talking about his crazy mother, she sealed her fate. She didn’t deserve a single thing that happened to her and I wish she was successful in her escape.
