Ranking The Segments In The Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror: Episode IX

Welcome to Day 12 of Spooky Season!! It’s time to share something more attune with the holiday season. Today, I’m ranking the segments in episode 9 of The Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror! In this episode, we have possessed hair with a revenge plot, cartoon murder and mayhem, and alien babies and absent alien fathers. I hope you enjoy and let me know your favorite segment in this Treehouse Of Horror Episode!! (POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!!)

3. Starship Poopers

After Maggie began morphing into an alien, Marge (Julie Kavner) confessed that her real father was Kang (Harry Shearer). When Kang tried to take her to his planet, they all go to Jerry Springer to solve their issues. I’ve honestly never really been a big fan of the segments centered around Kang and Kodos (Dan Castellaneta). To me, they work better as just cameos in the Halloween specials. There were some decent moments in this one, I absolutely loved the Jerry Springer scene! I just wasn’t a big fan of the concept as a whole.

Favorite Moment: When Jerry’s audience member called Kang out and he zapped her with his ray gun in response.

2. Hell Toupee

After Snake (Hank Azaria) was executed for secondhand smoke, his hair was donated to Homer (Dan Castellaneta). After Snake possessed Homer through his hair, he used Homer to get revenge on those who ratted him out, including Bart (Nancy Cartwright). I love a good revenge story and I’ve always found this kind of story interesting: where a person gets a donated organ and gets possessed by the person the organ belonged to. I’ll admit Snake did murder in pretty creative ways. Plus, when Homer ripped the hair out and it turned into its own being, that just killed me!

Favorite Moment: When Snake’s electrocution caused more secondhand smoke.

1. The Terror Of Tiny Toon

When Marge took away the batteries to keep Bart and Lisa (Yeardley Smith) from watching Itchy and Scratchy, Bart put plutonium in the remote and caused them to be sucked into their favorite cartoon. I’ve always LOVED this concept! It’s so funny seeing cartoon characters pulled into a more cartoonish world with different wacky rules. I love that Itchy and Scratchy turned the tables on them for laughing at their pain. It really shows how dangerous a world like that can be. I also love the random Regis and Kathie Lee cameos when Bart and Lisa dropped right into their show. This one was just so fun from beginning to end!

Favorite Moment: When Bart had all his pelting eggs labeled and 3 of them were labeled for Homer.
