Rating Halloween And Horror Apps – Part 5

Welcome to Day 19 of Spooky Season!! A while back, I rated some random Halloween and horror games and apps just for fun. I haven’t done that in a while, so I figured I’d bring you another installment. Today, I picked 6 popular Halloween/horror games to play and give my personal opinion on them. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize a few of these games were AI games, so this may be the last time I do this kind of article because I don’t support AI in any way, shape, or form. I hope you enjoy!!

The Boiled One: Horror Game

App Store Rating: 4.5/5

My Rating: 4/5

Thoughts: I am such a wuss when it comes to games like these. I think the graphics and atmosphere were really well done here. I wish the movements handled a little better, it took me a minute to make some popcorn, but that could mostly be due to me not playing games very well or very often. The jump scares definitely did their job. It was genuinely creepy. One thing I didn’t like was the constant ad breaks that took me out of it.

Strangers Here

App Store Rating: 4.1/5

My Rating: 4.5/5

Thoughts: I really enjoyed this one! It was simple yet very effective. I absolutely love the graphics and how it all resembled an old ‘80s horror-style game. It was very eerie and it didn’t hit you with a lot of jump scares. It was very fun and creepy, but it does get half a point docked because, yet again, the ad breaks took you out of the game and out of the tension. I’d still highly recommend this one!

Yandere Wife: Horror – Evening

App Store Rating: 4.5/5

My Rating: 0/5

Thoughts: I was going to give it some points until I realized it was an AI game. I would’ve praised the graphics and the story if they were things that people actually created themselves. Plus, it was nearly impossible to navigate! It was so frustrating to do a simple task like pick up a drawing off the counter. This one had a lot of potential, and if the people behind it actually put in some effort, it could’ve been great.

Halloween Farm: Family Story

App Store Rating: 4.6/5

My Rating: 3/5

Thoughts: I’ve honestly never been a huge fan of these types of games. I like the expanding of the property part, the goals you have to hit, and of course, I love the Halloween-theme. I just always the way they make you wait for certain things in order to continue the game. I’m someone who loses interest pretty easily, so games that pull that kind of thing just lose me so fast.

Halloween Home

App Store Rating: 4.7/5

My Rating: 2/5

Thoughts: This was yet another game where I didn’t realize it was AI until after I played it. It’s a real shame too because this was the funnest game so far. I just wanted to keep playing because I wanted to decorate the whole house. I loved how simple it was until I learned why it was simple. It didn’t seem right to give it a 0 like the previous AI game I played because this one didn’t have any glitches and it was still pretty fun.

Let’s Play A Game

App Store Rating: 4.8/5

My Rating: 3.5/5

Thoughts: First off, I just want to say that I love the old school graphics of this game. Also, I love that there is more than 1 story here. However, this game had ADS-GALORE! You barely get through a chapter before another ad hit you. Then if you need a weapon or flashlight or something, you have to watch MORE ads for them. It would be a great pick-and-choose type of survival game, but they really need to work on not throwing ads at us so often, it really takes us out of the story.
