Welcome to Day 21 of Spooky Season!! Today is dedicated to some of the best of the worst! Today, I’m sharing part 3 of the best horror movie villains. With their brutality, manipulation, and thirst for blood, these villains have truly left their mark on the world. I hope you enjoy and let me know who you think I should add in this series!! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)
Roman Castevet – Rosemary’s Baby
Roman Castevet (Sidney Blackmer) was born Steven Marcado, and his father, Adrian was the leader of a devil-worshiping cult. When Adrian boasted about conjuring the devil, he was attacked and nearly killed. Many years later, Roman took over the cult and made it his mission to bring the devil’s son into the world and bring about the apocalypse. He accomplished this by taking an innocent woman and having her raped and impregnated by the devil. Roman was a very cunning and manipulative man. He played the “innocent old man” shtick to a T, not showing people just how evil he truly was.
Charles Lee Ray/Chucky/The Lake Shore Strangler – The Child’s Play Franchise
Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) was a brutal serial killer who used voodoo in his murders. After being caught and gunned down by a police officer, he transferred his soul into a nearby Good Guy doll, and his reign of terror reached new heights. Being able to hide in plain sight as an innocent little doll was a huge advantage for him for decades. He destroyed a lot of lives and ruined a lot of families just for the hell of it. He even transferred his partner-in-crime into a doll after she refused to help him find a human host. He was a master of manipulation and he was more powerful and insane than anyone could’ve imagined.
Bo, Vincent, & Lester Sinclair – House Of Wax (2005)
Bo (Brian Van Holt), Vincent (Brian Van Holt), and Lester (Damon Herriman) were 3 psychotic brothers. After losing their mother, who was a famous wax sculptor, they completely took over their town, killing all of the residents and turning them into wax figures. The town was practically cut off, so they were able to get away with it for years. Each brother had their part, Lester helped make their victims stranded, Vincent did the killing and sculpting, and Bo was the ringleader who made sure no one escaped. They are some of the most cunning killers with one of the highest body counts in the horror genre!
Brandon Breyer – Brightburn
Brandon (Jackson A. Dunn) was an alien baby who crash landed on Earth and was taken in by a couple desperate for a baby, Tori (Elizabeth Banks) and Kyle (David Denman) Breyer. For eleven years, they had a wonderful and happy life. Once Brandon turned 12, he began to develop special powers, and he finally learned the truth about where he came from and what his actual mission was: to take over the world. It’s crazy how fast this kid just suddenly decided to kill those closest to him, those he spent his whole life with. It was like a switched flipped and he didn’t even know how to act innocent. He knew how powerful he was and instead of fighting the urge to kill and lay waste to the masses, he embraced it.
Paul Duerson – Borderline
After his girlfriend died at famous pop star, Sofia’s (Samara Weaving) concert, Paul Duerson (Ray Nicholson) began to develop a dangerous obsession with her. He began to stalk her and he turned himself in after stabbing her bodyguard and breaking into her home. After being locked up for a while, he managed to escape and he used his accomplices to hold her entire house hostage in order to force her to marry him. This guy was so delusional, he would sometimes see Sofia in the face of a completely random person. His fantasy was a nightmare for everyone else. He believed that he and Sofia were destined to be together that he hurt and traumatized a lot of people to make sure they had the wedding of his dreams.
