Welcome to Day 14 of Spooky Season! A while ago, I started to picture famous horror characters in different jobs and I wanted to share my ideas. I know the concept is a little silly, but it was actually pretty fun to think about, and at this point, I think we could all use a little silliness. I think I did pretty well this time around, but I’d love to know what kind of jobs you think horror characters would be great at! 

Freddy Krueger – Therapist

One thing that Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) is good at is finding out what people are afraid of. Now, imagine he wasn’t a demented soul and he used his dream powers for good. He could find out what someone’s biggest fear is, and help them face their fears in his own way. For instance, in Freddy’s Dead, he uses Tracy’s (Lezlie Deane) memory of her father against her. Instead of doing that, he could’ve helped her face him and find peace and closure. 

Samara Morgan – Filmmaker

Samara (Daveigh Chase) has some magnificently terrifying powers. One thing she’s able to do is make images appear on anything, and put her own little film on a VHS tape. She could put her powers to great use and create some amazing pieces of cinema. The best part is, she could do it without a big budget. Thus, there would be a much bigger profit. Without relying on big production companies, she would be the Indie Film Queen! 

Pennywise – Actor

Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) is a major shapeshifter. Instead of using his shapeshifting abilities to instill fear in people, he could be one of the best actors ever. He could be any living thing that a filmmaker might need. Hell, he could have the ability to play all of the roles! He can also create things and manipulate the areas that surround him. That would take care of sets and props, and like Samara, Pennywise could lower the budget and make a bigger profit with his films! 

Jason Voorhees – Bounty Hunter

One thing that’s overlooked about Jason Voorhees is that he’s very skilled at hunting and tracking. Being a bounty hunter would be perfect for him. He was able to track down Alice (Adrienne King) 2 months after she left Camp Crystal Lake, and he was able to find Rennie (Jensen Daggett) around Manhattan. We never know how he does it, but I don’t question. Not to mention if bounty hunting still had the “Dead Or Alive” rule, you bet Jason would gladly choose “Dead.” Crime would probably drop if criminals knew that Jason Voorhees would hunt them down. 

Carrie White – Fashion Designer And/Or Model

Carrie (Sissy Spacek) has already shown shown her dress-making skills. If she had the chance, I believe she could not only make beautiful gowns, but she could use her telekinetic ability to manufacture them a LOT faster. I can also see her having a career as a model. She can model her own designs, and if the people don’t like it, she can always set fire to the stage.
