I’m back with another installment of rating horror movie characters who share the same name! Today, I decided to go with the name Adam. As always, I’m rating the characters themselves, NOT the actors who play them or their performances. I hope you enjoy and let me know your favorite horror movie Adam!! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)
Adam Maitland – Beetlejuice

My Rating: 10/10
Adam (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara (Geena Davis) Maitland were a happy married couple whose lives tragically ended after they were killed in a car accident. Now dead and bound to their home, they tried to recruit a bio-exorcist names Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton) to get rid of a quirky new family who moved in. I just love Adam, I have no problems with him. I love how assertive he was when their friend Jane tried to sell their house behind their back. I love how his idea of scaring the family off was to make them do a hilarious and catchy dance. I love how when he was shrunk by Betelgeuse, his plan was to ram a really small car into his foot. He was just sweet and funny, through and through.
Adam Stubbs – May

My Rating: 5/10
Adam Stubbs (Jeremy Sisto) was a mechanic whose hands nabbed the attention of a timid and odd veterinary assistant named May (Angela Bettis). The longer they got to know each other, the more Adam realized May was too weird for him. I don’t really know how I feel about this guy, honestly. On one hand, he showed May how weird he was, allowing her to open herself up more, then he kicked her to the curb and claimed he didn’t like that much weird. Okay, I may be too harsh on the guy, because we see the movie from May’s perspective, but honestly, she WAS stalking him. I don’t really like how he talked to his new girlfriend either, but I still don’t think the guy deserved to die. I guess I’m conflicted on him.
Adam Banjo – The Devil’s Rejects

My Rating: 8/10
Adam Banjo (Lew Temple), his singing partner, Roy (Geoffrey Lewis), and their group were hitting the road to tour. When they stopped at a little motel in Tennessee, they became accosted and held hostage by the psychotic and murderous Firefly family. I feel like I don’t give Adam enough credit. When his wife was in the shower, he didn’t hesitate to square-up against a man like Otis Driftwood (Bill Moseley) to protect her. Then, when Otis said he was going to kill him and Roy, he fought Otis with everything he had. He wasn’t the best fighter, but he was definitely a fighter to the end! He did lose a couple of points from me for acting like changing the channel on the motel TV was the worst thing that could be asked of him.
Adam – Shutter

My Rating: 0/10
Adam (John Hensley), Ben (Joshua Jackson), and Bruno (David Denman) were three best friends who provided professional photographs for companies. After Ben’s ex-girlfriend became obsessive and clingy, they decided to do the unthinkable. Bruno and Adam raped her while Ben took pictures so they could blackmail her with them. When she committed suicide, her spirit sought out vengeance against the three. Adam was another scumbag rapist in the horror genre who got exactly what he deserved. He was also a man who took advantage of his position by making models believe they had to pose for photos nude and sleep with him in order to get jobs. I just hate this guy and his buddies with a passion.
Adam Sewell – Unfriended

My Rating: 0/10
Adam Sewell (Will Peltz) was a high school student who was on a simple Skype call with all of his friends. When a mysterious stranger logged onto their chat, threatening them, they realized it was the spirit of one of their classmates who they drove to kill herself. This guy was just scum, there’s just no other way to put it. During everyone’s confession, it was exposed that he drugged and raped a girl. His friend kept it a secret and he thanked him by sleeping with his girlfriend behind his back. Then he had the NERVE to get mad at his friend for selling him out for weed possession. This guy deserved WORSE than the quick gunshot death he got.
