Sometimes when I’m watching a comedy or TV show, I like to think about the horror movies that I’ve seen the comedic actors in. While watching Seinfeld, I noticed how many of my favorite horror people appeared in it. Today, I share part 3 of my favorite horror stars who appeared in Seinfeld! I hope you enjoy and let me know which one is your favorite!!
Richard Gant (Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday) as Fred – The Pilot

Worried that the new owner of Monk’s Diner only hired waitresses based on their bodies, Elaine reported him to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The investigator, Fred and his partner, Paul, decided to dine at the establishment rather than investigate the possible discrimination. I just LOVED this guy in Jason Goes To Hell! He did a wonderful job playing two different characters in that one. It was the first thing I ever saw him in, so it was a real treat to see him in one of my favorite shows. Sure, he has a very small part, but it was significant in being no help to what Elaine was trying to accomplish.
Sherman Howard (Day Of The Dead) as Roy – The Junior Mint

After Elaine broke up with a struggling artist, Roy, he stopped eating and had to be rushed to the hospital. While observing his surgery, Jerry and Kramer accidentally dropped a junior mint in his body, possibly causing a deadly reaction. I can’t tell you how many times I watched this episode before I realized the starving artist played one of my all-time favorite zombies! I hated how superficial Elaine was with this guy. She dumped him because he was too fat, then when she saw he was thinner and she was suddenly interested in him again. THEN, after his surgery, she watched him eat ONE meal and then she lost interest again. Roy definitely deserved better.
O-Lan Jones (Natural Born Killers) as Waitress – The Bubble Boy

After getting lost on their way to Susan’s cabin, Elaine and Jerry stop at a diner and Jerry got recognized by one of the waitresses. When he left something embarrassing on his autographed picture for the diner, he and the waitress quarreled when he tried to get the picture back. I don’t know if it’s her attitude, her accent, or both, but O-Lan always stood out for me. I have a theory that she plays the same character in this episode and Natural Born Killers, merely because she’s a waitress in both and we don’t know her character’s name in this episode. It could very well be Mabel! If I’m right, then that is a very sad fate for that waitress.
Grace Zabriskie (Child’s Play 2) as Mrs. Ross – The Cheever Letters

After Kramer burned Susan’s cabin down, George met Susan’s parents and had to tell them what happened. When they found love letters addressed to Susan’s father in the rubble, Susan’s whole family learned that he had an affair with famous author, John Cheever. Grace is one of those people who I get ecstatic about every time I see her. I love her in my favorite sitcoms and I love her in my favorite horror films. I’m so glad she wasn’t confined to just one episode. She can be calm and uncaring in one scene and completely erratic in the next. She and her on-screen husband were a great addition to the show!
Roy Brocksmith (Tales From The Crypt) as Landlord – The Nose Job

After his mom’s old boyfriend was put back in prison, Kramer convinced Elaine to help him sneak into his apartment to take back his chick-magnet jacket. After the landlord started badmouthing Kramer’s mother, Kramer had a difficult time keeping his composure for the mission. Roy Brocksmith was one of those distinguishable actors. Whether I saw his face or heard his voice, I’d always think “the Tales From The Crypt bartender!” I loved how he just started imitating Kramer’s mother right in front of him. Of all the women her old boyfriend dated, she was the one who stood out to him. His imitation made the scene so much funnier!
